Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Scifer / Automation OS collects, uses, stores, and protects information when businesses use our customer messaging, publishing, automation, and analytics tools.

Last updated: May 24, 2026

Information we collect

We collect account information such as name, email address, authentication details, workspace membership, role, and settings. When a workspace connects Meta products, we may receive Facebook Page, Instagram professional account, WhatsApp Business account, and related messaging or publishing data authorized by the user.

Meta data can include Page or account IDs, display names, access tokens, message text, sender identifiers, timestamps, attachments, post or draft content, webhook event payloads, and operational metadata needed to sync inboxes, send replies, publish content, and maintain audit records.

Meta permissions and purpose

Scifer requests Meta permissions only to provide the product features selected by the customer, including connecting managed Pages, syncing customer conversations, responding to messages, publishing approved posts, managing webhook subscriptions, and connecting eligible Instagram or WhatsApp business assets.

We do not sell Meta Platform Data. We do not use Meta Platform Data for unrelated advertising, profiling, or data broker services. Access tokens are stored encrypted and used only to perform authorized actions for the connected workspace.

How we use information

We use information to operate workspaces, authenticate users, connect social channels, deliver inbox automation, route human handoffs, publish customer-approved content, generate analytics, improve reliability, detect abuse, comply with legal obligations, and respond to support or deletion requests.

Sharing and processors

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the product, such as cloud hosting, database, email, monitoring, and AI infrastructure providers. These providers are allowed to process data only for Scifer service delivery. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Workspace data is retained while the customer account or workspace remains active, unless a shorter period is required by law, contract, or product settings. Customers can disconnect Meta accounts inside Scifer, which removes stored tokens and connected account data for that channel. Meta user data deletion requests are handled at our Data Deletion page.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards including encrypted token storage, authenticated access controls, workspace permissions, transport encryption, audit logs, and operational monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect customer and Meta data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss.

Your rights

Depending on location, users may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal information. Workspace owners are responsible for responding to their own customers where they control the underlying conversation data. To contact Scifer, email privacy@scifer.dev.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our product, legal requirements, or Meta platform requirements change. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
